2016 Winter Storm Hits Cacapon (January 24, 2016) — Winter Storm Jonas buried parts of the area in and around our community under snow.  The storm hit on January 23 and 24, 2016.  After digging out, some residents landed across Route 522 at Cacapon Resort State Park.  (The hill by the lodge was perfect for sledding!)
