Merry volunteers decorate entrance (December 1, 2024) — The tradition continued as volunteers worked like merry elves to beautify our entrance for the holidays. Many thanks to their collective efforts to make coming home a beautiful twinkling experience! Community members gathered to nosh on holiday treats the first night it was all lit up.
SUMMARY It was a bright and sunny day in June first as the POA continued its annual tradition of a community picnic. We gathered at the Nature Center Pavilion in Cacapon State Park and had a full house, delicious food – and experts at the grill. This year’s 50-50 included some original art created by one of our resident artists: LeeAnn Brannon. Each family introduced themselves and we gathered by street, as is our custom, for the annual street photos.

Thanks to Donna Bender, we have another fine collection of photos to remember our annual community picnic. The collection features neighbors in our traditional street-group photos, as well as plenty of candids of neighbors having a great time together on a sunny day We gathered at the Nature Center Pavillion at Cacapon State Park, and this year our 50-50 raffle featured a giveaway of prizes: ten lovely rustic centerpieces that double as “honey do” note holders. Xmas Elves Decorate the Gatehouse for the Holidays “A special ho-ho-ho and a special thanks to our holiday elves,” said Beth DuBoff, who shared some photos of the 2022 gatehouse decorations, now on display. “We are all grateful for your hard work and creativity that can’t help but make us all a little jollier!” The crew who assembled for the task had some treats to enjoy, as they untangled lights, fluffed the bows, and hung the wreaths according to Mary
